Tri-Peachtree City Triathlon Club

Tri-PTC was founded in 2003 to give area triathletes a source of support, information, training, and racing for the southside of Atlanta. We encourage all athletes, not just triathletes, to look at our club and see what we have to offer. We are active in the community not just with donations of money but we also encourage our members to volunteer.

Hi Everyone!

We are excited to host our annual TRI PTC Sprint Triathlon this Saturday. As many of you know, this is our primary source of club revenue for the year. As of now we have over 100 TRI PTC Club Members with only about 20 people total registered to volunteer.

PLEASE, we need you. It is because of this race that we can keep your membership at $25 and still give you the weekly group meetings, clinics, food, end of the year party, discounts and other goodies and privileges.Think of how much you can give back during this one day for a few hours! If you are racing, we would appreciate it if you could either send a family member and/or volunteer before and/or after the event.

We need:
Bike Course Marshals
Run Course Marshals
Finish Line

We need over 100 volunteers to make this race a success and you are what sets this race apart from all the others.

Please email me at vol.triptc@gmail.com to sign up for a volunteer spot. Thank you!

Update from tri club member Kevin Lenze
Hello all,

Today is Mason's one month birthday! No one thought a month ago we would be here. Except us and you 😉

He continues to fight and has made improvements in several areas:

He is gaining weight and is up to 4 lbs 14 oz.

He is completely off morphine and tolerated a methadone step down program extremely well.

His blood oxygenation saturation and CO2 levels continue within parameters as they ween down the assistance he receives from the ventilator.

He right and left lung are both inflated and getting stronger. Right lung is smaller but should continue to grow.

Here are key landmarks we are looking to achieve in the next few weeks:

He stomach did not tolerate feeding so they have had to run a by-pass directly into his abdomen. We need him to accept the nutrition in his belly.

We need to get him off the respirator and breathing on his own.

His left ventricle has a slight kink and we need it to repair on it's own without surgery. His next echo-cardiogram is this Wednesday and we should know more.

Mason looks terrific and you can see him growing and looking better. He manages to interact with us through finger squeezes, reacting to our voices, and best of all occasional eye contact. So many of you are praying and Mason continues to amaze his many caretakers. You are all part of many miracles big and small. Mason will continue his fight and we (and you) will continue to fight for him. We can't thank you enough and do keep all of you in our prayers everyday.

Thank you and God Bless,

The Lenze Family
