Tri-Peachtree City Triathlon Club

Tri-PTC was founded in 2003 to give area triathletes a source of support, information, training, and racing for the southside of Atlanta. We encourage all athletes, not just triathletes, to look at our club and see what we have to offer. We are active in the community not just with donations of money but we also encourage our members to volunteer.

Members,

The board is excited to announce that the club will be partnering with 2XU on our 2017 redesigned kits.

We are still finalizing a few details, but we wanted to share the design in advance of the order. The new design breaks away from the traditional burnt orange and reflects a retro look with a new subline color that is currently very fashionable in the multi-sport/cycling community. The current club logo was retained on the kits and we will introduce a new hybrid logo that displays more boldly the club name on the chest and legs.

Please look for the order link on FB or by email soon.

Bicyclists who are Fayette County residents are requested by November 18th to submit their public comments input to the full plan update of the Fayette County Comprehensive Plan. This is really important for every cyclist to participate and help improve bicycling now and for the future. We need as many residents as possible to take the survey. www.surveymonkey.com/r/fayetteplan You will be asked to identify and comment on for unincorporated Fayette County what three things add and what three things detract from the Quality of Life, including parks/recreation, multi-use paths, bicycling facilites (bike routes & lanes, bike road crossings), road system etc. You will also be asked to identify and comment on what you feel needs improvement. Suggestions: Add to quality - well maintained rural roads, county park system Detract from quality - bike lanes routes and crossings not marked, incomplete path system, no commuter bicycle lanes Improvement needed - Mark bike lanes and routes, connect all cities - county parks and nature areas with path system, widen roads for shared auto and cycle traffic You will be asked for comments and to confirm "Should Fayette County pursue the development of multi-use paths (golf cart, bicycle, pedestrian) and road improvements for bicycling and pedestrian safety to improve connectivity/alternative transportation and recreation/health?" Suggestions: Yes. Comments - Fayette County should formally adopt GDOT Design Policy Manual Chapter 9 Complete Streets for all transportation projects. The county needs to adopt a comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian plan that incorporates bicycle lanes and routes, multi-use paths and natural surface trails.
